Welcome everyone to a weekend edition TeaDay. Please stop in and share what is in your cup throught the entire weekend.
Friday we discussed what we do when our tea experiences get old. You can still vote and discuss Friday's topic.
This weekend's topic, NON TEA for a change. Speaking of change, Autumn is a season of change. How does Autumn rank in the 4 seasons for you, your personal ranking of seasons and why?!? And is Autumn a "season of change" for you personally? Please share.
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaWeekend with everyone. Bottoms up.

d'oh, I did it again, poll fixed, so if you only were able to vote once previously, you should be able to add a second vote for the bonus!

Autumn is usually my fav season. Living in the foothills of the Great Smoky mountains, we usually have a colorful fall. I particularly love the deep, deep blue of an October sky. Also, I see more of my sons -- we tend to gather to watch football together and I'm in a Football Fantasy League w/my sons, husband, and grandsons!
Also, after our hot summers, the Fall temperatures are a relief. Good tea drinking weather.

I am sure it is quite beautiful in the Autumn down there.
I think Spring is my likely fave followed by Fall, Summer, and Winter. I really do not like cold very much, and never curse the heat remembering that Winter and cold will be here soon enough. Sometimes I think I think that if I curse Summer and the heat, I will wake up in the frozen tundra or something ...
Fall is a season of change, preparing for the Winter ahead. Even my body seems to change. I think I read that the skin thickens as the temps decrease ... or maybe the blood vessels are deeper to conserve heat. Anyway, I sense change.
Began the TD with a tasting of a new sencha for a possible OTTI inclusion. SweeTea gave it a positive vote while Pyrit and Lili were looking for a warm lap to sit on.
Cold is in the air this morning ...

Autumn is my favorite season. Growing up in the Appalachian Valley in Ohio, the fall was just spectacular. Here in CA not much of that, but I do love the relief from the heat and the moving into warmer clothes.
Started the day with a nice Darjeeling from Tea Emporium.

Living in New England...... autumn is a significant period of change delineated and rewarded by the beauty of the changing leaves. But it is a massive "labor" time of year for me.
Cleaning the house chimney to get ready for the winter's heating season. Getting the winter's wood supply set for the house for the wood stoves. Raking the unbeliveable piles of leaves that the beautiful sugar maples we have all over our property drop down into our laps. Clearing the leaves out of the house gutters so they don't ice jam in the winter. Protecting some of the plants in the Japanese garden from the ravages of winter. Generally cleaning up the property getting things "put to bed" for the coming snowfalls.
Then there is getting the whole studio operation ready for the winter too. Many things I can do outdoors in the spring, summer, and fall I have to "put away" for the winter. Like for the house heating situation, right now I've got three cords of wood that is sitting there waiting to get stacked next to the noborigama that the recent heavy rains delayed me in doing. And I have to get all the leaves raked well away from the kiln site and off the kiln building roof before the next firing.
Autumn is my favorite time to make pots and to get that last wood kiln firing before spring completed before the dead of winter hits us.
And the cooler days are MADE for drinking TEA!
best,

Winter is my favorite season, followed by Spring, Autumn, and Summer. I love the brisk air and the quiet when it snows, and I love the winter wildlife.
Started the day with TG shui shin gui and leftover red jade #18. Hikibi-an pinnacle sencha is coming up.

My favourite season is summer...I don´t like the cold and with the climate here those warm summer months are short and precious. Spring would be second...finally seeing the snow melt and flowers begin to bloom it´s an exciting time of year.
Autumn is definitely a season of changes...with school starting...suddenly I find myself scrambling to finish assignments and do all the required reading.
teaday is starting with Sakura Sencha from O-Cha...only getting to drink one infusion...I shared it with the whole family...so I´ll be moving on to some other tea quite quickly.

Next up, a prelim tasting with the Mrs. of OTTI 6, TGY #5 from http://www.chinese-tea-culture.com/tieg ... -sale.html aka IPT. Quite nice indeed! This is the 5th grade, there are 4 higher grades in this tasting, yet this 5th grade is a better than one will likely find from most online vendors.

Autumn is a big season change up here in Michigan. I love the brisk, chilly weather. Spring & Autumn are my favorite seasons.
2007 Xiaguan FT #4 today, brewed lightly. Strong tobacco overtones, sweet leather, and a creamy vanilla base.

My two favorites are spring and summer. I really don't like being cold. which seems to happen all the time in the winter and fall.
Autumn isn't really a season of change for me.
