The craftswoman (it looks like a woman name) is He Yaping. I don't know about this person and don't know much about yixing clay texture. But I think the clay texture of this teapot is beautiful! And it looks like a teapot fully hand made, without facilitation of moulds.

It is a type of wood whose grain resembles the wings of a chicken.
