My budget for tea has remained the same for a few years (about 100€ per month) but I placed less tea orders this year because I ordered more matcha and gyokuro.

Ippoen gyokuro this afternoon.

More, but that doesn't mean much. I think I placed 2 last year, so most anything's an improvement. Though up until this week I hadn't ordered any tea since May or so, since I ordered so much last time. But the time was right and I was almost out of a few things, and was ordering a gift at the same time. I'm going to try to refrain from opening any of the new stuff until I actually do run out of a couple things - shouldn't be too long, I think I only have a couple weeks worth of Yunnan left!

Speaking of, I think I'll have some today. Though I'm up early enough that I'll have a cup of something else first; Peach Flambée, perhaps?

I've placed more orders because my stocks are lower than they were at this time last year and because I'm exploring new teas and new vendors.

Finished last night with TG's suzhou bi lo chun (exquisite), and started the morning with TG's shui jin gui.

More. Definitely more.

I used to place one order, every other month from one, maybe two vendors. Now, I have discovered all the japanese vendors so I've seen a bump in tea buying. I refuse to even look at puerh stuff. I'm just not ready yet.

Defnately placing more orders this year than last. Didnt really start drinking real tea until last december. Before that i would occasionally drink bagged tea when i needed to warm up or for a caffeine hit. Bt my sister introduced me to loose tea at her wedding. She had bought some to be given away in glass jars as favors and there was alot left over. I brought some of it home and tried it. i never went back to bags and am now a regular tea drinker.

Earl grey de la creme this morning, intrestingly enough, the tea from my sisters wedding that bot me started in tea. visiting family and black is just the easiest to prepare (mom also has gallon ziplock bag full).

More. I didn't purchase any tea last year.

I'm six days shy of celebrating my first full month as a novice tea drinker and already I've placed three tea orders. I've got to slow down!

In my cup: Mocha Nut Mate.

I was only an occasional tea drinker until the bug bit me this year, so I would say my order increase has been exponential.

My tea orders have slowed down in the last three months, so I'm placing about the same as I was last year at this time (before joining TeaChat).

No tea yet this a.m.

Since I only jumped on to the tea band wagon a few months ago, I'd say my tea buying is up 100% from this time last year. lol

Spiced Apple Chai in my cup this fine, crisp fall morning. YUM!

I am placing fewer tea orders but larger volume.
I think it finally sunk in. Still I had some expensive
lessons just this year. But as of right now, I am done.
I am focused.

Darjeeling to start my day, oolong up next.

Lightly raining here.

More tea orders but not more tea...I´m making more frequent, smaller orders of tea. Mostly because I´ve been drinking a lot of Japanese greens where freshness can be an issue and last year it was oolongs and black teas I was buying.

What I am spending more on is teaware

This year I bought a Kyusu, Chawan, bamboo whisk and scoop...I´ve got something in the works with a teaware artisan and I´m thinking of putting together a travel tea set (just going to buy an inexpensive gaiwan and cups) for my trip to Mexico in December...

before that I had used the same glass pot for everything ever since my last glass pot got knocked off my desk.
