Hello,
i am Noah, 26 years old and i am from Leipzig, Germany.
I started drinking tea about two months ago, at the time when i quit smoking and drinking coffee.
I drink japanese Greens and i started with a Sencha and Matcha from a local vendor, called teegschwendner. later i bought the gyokuro from that store and i hated it, because i ruined it with the declared preparation.
Thanks to Chip, yesterday i really really had my first enjoyable gyokuro experience. but i think its a low quality gyokuro either.
meanwhile i ordered some senchas, a karigane and matchas from Maiko's tea, and i cant wait to try higher grades soon. also i am realy looking forward to trying some shinchas next year, for the first time of my life.
Also i want to try lots of good other japanese greens, so
I am here for some tipps for future purchases and many experiences of all the skilled users here, and maybe with my very little experience i can help some other newbies, too.
Sorry for the bad english again, i hardly try to improve it.
Thanks and greetings
Noah

Welcome !
I quit smoking a little more than a year ago. Tea has been a wonderful help/substitute.

Hi again Noah. Glad I could help with the gyokuro! Get some good stuff and save it for special occasions!
Welcome to the forum. Hope to see you around.
There will be a Sencha OTTI (tasting) coming up. Keep an eye open for it.
