Happy TeaDay everyone. I hope you will drop in and share what is in your cup throughout the day.
Last weekend we discussed scary movies.
You can still vote and discuss the weekends topic's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Time to see what TEA reigned supreme for the month of October. Please share.
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

A reminder, OTTI will go live this evening at 6 pm Eastern time. See the OTTI Schedule topic for a few details, a battle of the "mushi," asa versus fuka! Talk about horrors of horrors!

I would say the 1996 7532 "Orange in orange," but I only got to drink it once.

Instead I'll go with 2008 High Roast TGY from TeaMasters, outstanding!

I used my two votes to select 'puerh and oolong.' Cheating, or honest?
The winner was 1950's Shui Xian.

Had to go with oolong. Four season spring held on to the top spot, but i think i only have another couple sessions of it left, so november might be a change it pace for me. Guess we'll have to wait and see!
Yunnan noir at work today.

Now is the time I get into roasted oolongs, usually, but this october has been all about japanese greens from O-Cha. Winner, hands down, Sencha Miyabi. It was my first session this morning also.

Oolong from Taiwan - Once again - DaYuLing from Tea Masters was the best tea of the month.
Started the day with Turzum Darjeeling.

Which version of Da Yu Ling do you like best? This is a tea with several threads devoted to it and I have never tried it.

Really outstanding teas all October. The OTTI 6 TGY oolongs were sensational, all 5 of them. Prepping for OTTI 7 and 8 meant great Japanese greens, 10 of them. I am see-sawing back and forth on which reigned supreme, type and specific tea. It seems to be an impossible task choosing.
So, for now I am just sitting on the fence.
Began the TD with Sencha Premier with the Mrs. Currently a tasting of a sencha and working on OTTI topics for the 6 pm Eastern time deadline!

Chinese greens reigned supreme for me, with an assortment of teas from Jing Tea Shop, Teaspring and Seven Cups. My favorite - the Tai Ping Hou Kui from Jing, without a hint of smokiness. The leaves stand upright on the bottom of the glass so I can drink "grandma' style w/o felling like I'm swimming through seaweed.

Asked a question earlier but didn't answer the october question.
So many good teas, can't pick just one--but highlights were best-ever brewings of the 2008 YiWu bamboo aged sheng from norbu; yunnan mao feng green tea from norbu; a really marvelous couple of sessions with the Hankook Hwang Cha 'oolong'; and the 1960s (early) Guang Yun Gong Puerh sample by The Essence of Tea, which unfortunately for the budget, really was quite amazingly good.

I was checking out SilkRoadTeas yesterday, and noticed there TPHK seemed so uncharacteristic for TPHK.
I will have to try the Jing!
