Do you currently have an essential Chinese green, the one you most want to have around or have around most often?
If yes, what is your essential Chinese green?
Also if yes, what percentage of the time do you have this essential Chinese green in house and open?

Re: Your China Green Essential?
Probably the closest to an essential for me is the Yunnan Mao Feng I've been getting from Norbu. This is one of the few green teas I've tried that does very well in my bulk-brewing for the thermos, and can still be interesting at the end of the day.
Beyond that, I feel like I've hardly scratched the surface, and though I have really enjoyed various nutty Dragon Wells, delicate Li Bo Chuns, floral Jin Xuan-as-green-tea, and spicy-sweet Tai Ping Hou Kui, I can't say that any one of these is more essential than the rest, though having some of more than one of them is.

Re: Your China Green Essential?
Maybe. Tea Gallery's Bilochun really blew me away, so it has the potential to become a semi-regular, periodic essential Chinese green.
Re: Your China Green Essential?
I'm still in my sampling periode of Chinese Greens.
I liked a Tai Ping Hou Kui - really big leaves
And I somhow liked a Zhu Ye Qing - tasted like cooked beans.
But what really hit all my senses was this Long Jing.
I'd strongly recommend it.
ciao

You hit 3 of my fave 4 types of Chinese greens ... and have been for years!Marco wrote:I'm still in my sampling periode of Chinese Greens.

Re: Your China Green Essential?
Right now it's a toss up between Tai Ping Hou Kui and Dragon Phoenix Pearls. I'm still in the sampling stage, which I would probably be happy to remain in for some time - it's so much fun. I have two top of the line Long Jing samples from Jing Tea Shop to try and compare, and then there's the Liu An Gua Pian and the white teas and the yellow teas (but that's other and different posts).
Re: Your China Green Essential?
I don't have much experience with Chinese Greens. Just some different Jasmines I've tried along the way. I'm hoping for a OTTI so I can try out a few different kinds.

I will kindly leave some of it for you ChipChip wrote: You hit 3 of my fave 4 types of Chinese greens ... and have been for years!
Out of curiosity - which one is the fourth?

The 4th is Lu An Gua Pian.
And the 5th is undecided among so many Chinese green tea candidates!

Sadly none of that available at Wing Hop Fung today. Also struck out on the other two teas I was looking for.

Though I really like Chinese green I am still on the level of trying and finding. But the long jing is really nice.
