Hi everyone,
I live in deepest Devon a Senior Software developer. I sort of dabbled a bit with teas but was usually a coffee man.
However last birthday the wife for some reason purchased a really nice tea pot infuser, a nice cup and saucer and some very expensive teas.
1) Darjeeling 1st flush
2) Green
3) Black
OK I dabbled a bit with green tea at work and some Earl. However until that point my most experimental tea drinking was Lapsang.
You know the score leave it to stew in your mug with milk and sugar. Throw the tea bag in the bin and quaff it back and if it was still lukewarm bonus.
OK
I think the wife has turned me into a tea snob of the 1st magnitude within a short 2 months.
No longer can I stand the thought of a stewed tea bag left in my cup at work. Tetley,PG has it's place (mainly on building sites).
I just absolutely love a good properly brewed Black,Green tea and as for the Darjeeling a good morning pick me up.
So though I would just say hi and tell you all it's been like spending your life drinking mediocre tea then some telling you there's a whole different world out there and my eyes have just been opened.
Re: Hello
OMG!!
I am totally and utterly gob smacked and shall I say slightly intimidated. It's a whole world of difference on this board.
I really don't have a fave as such just what my mood takes me. Pu Erh is my fave at the moment,
I only have 2 tea pots one at work one at home and believe that I have had 3 lots of 2 cup today and worried that I may be over doing it?
It's just become quite addictive
It looks like I will have to take my tea drinking to the next level to keep up with some of the people on the forum
Some really good articles though thanks!!!
