Makaibari Silver Tips Imperial. Not so easy to find. A White Darjeeling with a floral bouqet aroma and smooth flavor. Light, delicate, and, on the expensive side, bought in India.

Brewed up a batch of Adagio's Yunnan Golden Curls this morning. Truly one of my top 10 favorite teas, so far.

I received a sample of this earlier in the year and enjoyed it enough to purchase some. But this batch seems very different. I cannot seem to brew it and it not be bitter. Brought the temp down to 180 and it is OK, but still not quite right.

A new black tea that I have been enjoying is 2009 Winter Ruby Black from Norbu. I have been drinking mostly Yunnan black for a while, and this is a nice change.

Sungma 2010 2nd flush. Leaves not much to look at. Many broken, some tips. But, wow, what an explosion of aroma and taste. Aroma of baked fruit bars with a marzipan flavor and full mouth of happiness. Deep tea with dark amber color. Love it.

2010 Sun Moon Lake black from EoT, again...

Malty, syrupy, sugary, and a long aftertaste.

Same tea inside that Bizen teapot. Same description but with a strong flavor of red dates. Really yummy in the mouth.

spring 2010 harvest Yunnan Gold Buds from Norbu Tea

Rather tasty... the first and second brews were good, the third started weakening, and forth and fifth were bitter, weak, and tasted little more than water.

Originally I was tasting some kind of citrus, perhaps orange and toward the second and third I could taste some undertones of honey.

Kenilworth Ceylon from Silver Tips Tea in NY. It's one of my standards.
