Preserving nutrients

by Delta223 » Nov 12th, '10, 08:30

Just curious, is it ok (nutrition-wise) to make a big batch of green tea and store it in the fridge, or are the nutrients broken down if allowed to sit or cool down?

Thanks

I doubt if anyone can give a 100% certain answer to this question. In the case of most tea studies, they tend to be of a dubious nature/source &/or there are conflicting studies.

The ready to drink market is full of premade beverages that sit for a long period of time ... but ...

I would try to drink it w/in a day or two. But fresher is always better in my opinion.

Yep, the fresher the better. The longer it sits, the more that is lost. There will still be benefit, but not as much.
