Greetings everyone! Welcome to a new TeaDay. So stop in, share what is in your cup and discuss Tea with us.
Yesterday we discussed "How long were you a tea drinker before finding TeaChat? Also share what brought you to TeaChat!" You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Continuing yesterday's theme. In your wildest dreams would you have ever thought you would be on an internet TeaForum like TeaChat? Please share your thoughts.
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

Re: Tuesday TeaDay 11/16/10 In Your Wildest dreams ...
Lots going on in the TeaWorld ... and TeaChat.
Japan shipping restrictions may affect tea/teaware shipments, see the topic in Miscellany.
Delays in shipping from China. See the topic in Miscellany.
... and good news, Otti 7 and 8 have begun hitting the homes of TCers. See the topic under Hagi, TA, and OTTI
More good news, it appears Hagi SO 13 is moving forward despite the restrictions mentioned above!!! See the Hagi SO 13 topic also under Hagi, TA, OTTI.

Same as auhckw. I've been on the internet since I was 10-12, somewhere around there. My only wonder is not finding it sooner.

I've been hanging out in online forums since the days of Compuserve.
What will be in my cup this morning? I'm going to reach into the sencha OTTI envelope and pick something at random. As much as I enjoy my gaiwans it feels good to be using my kyusu again.

DH Ed and I began accessing the internet when Prodigy first became available! Yep, that long ago!!!
So, I have belonged to many forums on many subjects (mainly art), but TeaChat is the only Tea Forum I have participated in. It rocks!!!
Our son was in college when he got our first computer, a Commodore.

No, I never thought I would. Still can't believe I am.
Tea drinking has always been normal to me. Not something I necessarily need to talk to starngers about. I'm not much on the internet anyway, and I can't believe I spent some of that time browsing for teaware and reading tea blogs... And I never would have believed there is a active tea message board.
Lately I've been drinking more rooibos. I know it's not real tea...

Forums are a good place to learn about any given subject by chatting with people who have been involved in said subject of interest since before I was born.
Well, I'm not that young, probably right in the middle of the TC demo, but I'm not surprised I've ended up here.
I am more surprised that I frequent pipe smoking forums. I would have never seen that one coming when I was 18, trying to imagine my future self. That is an entirely different crowd.
This morning, I launched the otti with Maiko's shuppin-sencha asamushicha brewed in a new banko-yaki kyusu.
Awesome. Loved it.

I voted yes, why not
but on re reading I'm thinking no. In my wildest dreams I have never, and feel it unlikely that I will ever, be on an internet forum like tea chat. I don't think I'd be filing the dream under 'wildest' anyway
Something green happening soon. Can't decide if it will be Chinese or Japanese though.

Yep - same as auhckw and others above, I'm an internet addict and have been as long as it's been around. So I've been on other boards, I knew it could happen.
Started the TeaDay with left overs from yesterday's Baozhong from Tea Masters.

At the beginning of 2010, TeaChat, and loose leaf tea in general, were not even on my radar..

Up to the minute before I found TeaChat, that would have been my response. I simply never would have thought of looking for internet tea forums.Chip wrote:You mean there are internet forums where they duiscuss TEA???
