by Chip » Nov 17th, '10, 01:42

Greetings TeaFriends. Please drop in and share what is in your cup throughout the day.

Yesterday we discussed "would you have ever thought you would be on an internet TeaForum like TeaChat?" You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. TeaChat, what is TeaChat to you? Rate and rank.

I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone! Bottoms up!

A reminder, Hagi SO 13 "Tempest" goes live at 6PM Eastern USA time. Be on TC 15 minutes early for a special preview!!!

LOL, TeaChat is all of the above!

I started the TeaDay with Yame Fukamushi from Den's. This was my first tea from OTTI 7/8.
Review in the OTTI thread.

Have a nice TeaDay, everybody!

I think you could have made the poll shorter with an option that just said 'Click here for all options'.

All of the options certainly apply, for me the most valuable aspects of TeaChat have been learning about tea and hangin' out with all the TeaPeeps!

Not only "all of the above," but teachat is a wonderful safe-haven from politics! I am so sick of the poisoned atmosphere in the U.S. right now and very glad to have a place to come where it does not exist. Props for the no politics rule.

This morning, I am trying out F#5, Fuga Super Premium from Zencha. I'm pretty sure I preferred the F#4 (fuji), but I have another steeping of both, so we shall see.

I would probably feel lonely (in terms of tea related chatting) without TeaChat :)

Checked every option except the "teaching" one, because I have MUCH more to learn than to teach :D

Heh, OK I figured most of us could check virtually each one, therefore I asked for some personal ratings and rankings!

And "All the Above" was left off on purpose.

The only two I didn't check were "Participate in Tea Tastings" (I haven't yet) and "Debate/Argue about Tea," as I no longer enjoy debating and arguing.

The top one for me would be "A Place to Meet TeaFriends!" :D

A place to discuss all aspects of tea
A place to learn all aspects of tea
A resource for all aspects of tea
A place to meet TeaFriends
A place to participate in tastings
A place to learn how to brew
A place to learn where to buy
A place to teach about tea
TeaNetworking
A place to learn how to spend TeaBucks

Interesting, I must have done the list somewhat in order subconsciously. Only had to remove the debate/argue option, everything else seemed to even be in order.

Began the TD with a tasting of Togei from OTTI 7 with the Mrs. This is an interesting tea!

OK, slight change, I will post the preview in the "Coming soon Hagi SO 13 "Tempest" topic at 5:45 pm.

The new official topic will open right at 6 pm as originally planned. BTW, I go by the atomic clock, not TC time.

Same here. Without teachat I would have no where to talk about tea.

I checked all except; A place to participate in tastings and tea networking because as much as I want to participate in the tastings I already spent my teabudget.

The main things are anything to do with learning or discussing tea things and making friends.

O-cha Fukamushi in my cup today. I accidentally overbrewed it by about a minute  so it was pretty bitter. I like to make it with about 3-4grams in a 7oz pot, brewed for 1min. Tonight I will make sure that doesn't happen again

TeaChat is mainly any of those things for me, especially a place to learn about tea and where to spend my teamoney. I love being able to get on here and get a fairly good idea of whether or not a tea-related purchase will be worth it or not. I also like getting to chat with others on the IM. Without TeaChat I would have no real outlet for all of my teathoughts, and I would probably explode...

No tea yet today... Thinking some mao feng or dan cong.
