I guess it depends what type of craving it is. But in general, a Puerh will do; something young of high quality or a nicely aged Shengpu works.

If I'm thirsty and want to get high = Chinese / Japanese Greens
If I'm thirsty and want to sleep = Ripe Puerh
If I'm thirsty and is a hot day = Iced Lemon Tea

ThirsTea Thursday.
If due to exertion then I need sugar, so it will be black with milk and sugar, or if due to heat then black with honey and lemon or ginger.

I had to say Wulong. Everyone asks me what my favorite tea is and I just don't know, I drink such a huge variety of tea, but the one I always go back to is Wulong. I do tend to drink it on a consistant basis.

Nothing quenches my thirst quite like a good oolong, though green would be a close second. Iced barley tea is also great for that.

In the winter I tend to guzzle black tea if I happen to be thirsty. In the warmer weather I ice Japanese green tea and even add a bit of lemon if I'm feeling particularly adventurous.
No tea yet today but sencha Warashina Supreme is first in the lineup.

Remember, the question is, "When incredibly thirsty for TEA" not necessarily when incredibly thirsty.

For thirst quenching I go with green long jing or Jiu Hua Fo Cha.

This was a tough call between oolong and pu, but I decided to vote pu.

Flip that. I pretty much crave green all the time, truly thirsty or not. I do find oolong to be very satisfying in the thirst category though. I promise, one day, I will click an option other than "green" in one of these surveys. I just can't promise when that will be...TwoPynts wrote:Nothing quenches my thirst quite like a good oolong, though green would be a close second. Iced barley tea is also great for that.
More yunnan black this morning, trying to keep the green withdrawal delirium tremens at bay another couple days

Ripe pu is my main thirst quencher with light roasted oolongs on standby when I need something lighter and floral
