Adagio's new Yixing teapots?
I have little knowledge on Yixing teapots, so I was looking for opinions on the new ones adagio just put up on their site. They are easy to access and appear to be at a great price. Thanks.....

The Zibo and Dalien pots aren't even real Yixing clay, and the construction quality is pretty bunk. Therefore the prices are WAY too high. I wouldn't use these pots for making tea. Haven't seen the third one in person.

Did you have to order them to see them in person, or is there a shop in NYC where they can be seen?tingjunkie wrote:The Zibo and Dalien pots aren't even real Yixing clay, and the construction quality is pretty bunk. Adagio asked (me) for a couple TC volunteers to check out the pots in advance.JRS22 wrote:Did you have to order them to see them in person, or is there a shop in NYC where they can be seen?tingjunkie wrote:The Zibo and Dalien pots aren't even real Yixing clay, and the construction quality is pretty bunk. I simply asked 3 members who I felt were relatively qualified to offer opinions, Adagio sent the pots to them, they offered honest opinions ... and then passed the info back to Adagio.fracol wrote:so I guess you let tingjunkie try them out? he really doesn't like them much.Chip wrote:Adagio asked (me) for a couple TC volunteers to check out the pots in advance.
