Chinese Spring tea harvest 2011

by bagua7 » Feb 14th, '11, 21:09

When would you start placing orders for 2011 teas since the harvest doesn't start until March (please correct me if I am wrong).

It will be nice if someone could link or provide some info about the harvest guide of various Chinese greens that would help foreigners like myself in their purchasing needs.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure their is an exact date for harvests. Maybe I'm wrong but I think it varies year to year about the exact times. Just keep checking back with your vendor to see when they post 2011 harvest teas that you want.

For example, at teaspring.com they will get several early harvest teas in like Xu Fu Long Ya, that will come in weeks before later ones. It just depends on how many orders you want to place and which tea your looking for.

Yes, thanks, Teaspring is my main supplier of Chinese greens. This is the reply I got yesterday:

This year's weather is a little unpredictable so it's hard to say when it will be available. We are expecting around middle to late March.

Regards,

Gerard.
