As in, is this a reputable vendor?
The Kyusu looks just perfect, and I know Tokoname is very good for Sencha and that the Shoryu name is well-respected.
I'm looking at around $70 CDN for this one. I know if I go too cheap, I might be skimping on quality. On the other hand, if I go too expensive, I might be getting taken for low-end merchandise destined for the export market where Asianophiles are ready to pay top dollar for anything "Asian."
I'd appreciate your advice. Please note, I love the look of this pot. Maybe too much for my own good?
Second:
I purchased this one below as well because of the source - since most of you rave about Artistic Nippon - and I love the colour and lines of this pot.

Re: Would this be an authentic Tokoname Kyusu?
Kohei is very wonderful to deal with. Ive bought kyusu, and cups from him before. Wonderful communication, great service and fast shipping.
Artistic nippon is very great as well. Either way cant go wrong, I say go with the one that strikes you more. You will enjoy it better

You're in good shape using either vendor. Good choices.

Sweet. Thanks a lot for the advice. I've learned it all from here, too. This is a great place, I must say.

Those look really nice, i like looks of tokoname clay a lot, it's almost black. Though i still prefer steel fine mesh since i don't like pieces of tea in my cup. I tried many times, but could not make myself like them :p
