Greatest tea of April was clearly the Yame Matcha Sansui. I have worked my way into matcha from the lower price range, so Sansui was really a great choice for showing me what I can get by paying a bit more.

Japanese green this month. Yamashita's shuppin gyokuro was my clear winner for April.

Sencha Tsuen Otsuusan was clearly #1 for April. I've just begun trying out samples of 2011 Chinese greens so the answer for May could be different.

Early results are indicating a staggering landslide for Japanese grrrreens! Can it be, or has everyone else just forgotten to get out of bed?
I am going with Aoi from Tsuen via O-Cha. It's GRRRREAT! A very nice veggie sencha that was also very easy to brew.
Unfortunately, I am out of Aoi, but I am sure i will find a grrrreat senChaaaa to start each morning, including today's.
No, I am just his #1 fan since he declared he really starts each morning with senChaaaa!Entropye... wrote:Ok who replaced Chip with Tony the Tiger?![]()

The Shan Lin Shi I had was excellent, I may have shed a tear of enjoyment on the first sip.

Two great new tea finds this month, both oolong, both wuyi.
100 year tree from tea gallery
&
an aged rou gui sample
Had never had any rou gui before, so it was a unique experience. Really love the aroma of that one.
the 100 year tree oolong is a silky sipper that shuts me up instantly.
Drinking some this very moment. 5th steep so far tonight.

Great TD, but not enough nevertheless. Finished the day with guricha from Xell. Unfortunately only a gram or so left.

Drinking konacha, looks like my taste already changed quite a lot since i started drinking green tea. Still waiting for shincha, seems no early delivery, more 2-3 days to wait
