2 pots...
is it necessary to have 2 pots for sheng?one for the very young teas and one for much older teas?thanks...
Re: 2 pots...
It's not "necessary"; the Yixing police will not come knocking down your door if you do it. I think there are probably those who would recommend dedicating separate pots for each, and / or using a porcelain gaiwan or teapot for the young stuff, rather than a Yixing pot.

Yeah, I second the recommendation for using a gaiwan with young sheng. In my experience, it's pretty hard to find a good young sheng pot.wyardley wrote:It's not "necessary"; the Yixing police will not come knocking down your door if you do it. You can use a very porous pot for young sheng. It works for me in the form of a high-profile chaozhou pot. It brews awesome young raw puerh.
