Cheers.
Re: Ripe puerh advice
There are different kinds of shu products. What sort of shu do you like? Lightly fermented? Heavily fermented? Using tips? Using coarse leaves? How old? From what area?
I would probably not buy any of the above teas. Best deals to me are:

Douji and Shikunmu shu is sold pretty cheap at Chinese Cha Dao and Western Yunnan tea, so you might want to give those a whirl.
Mind you, these are what *I* think is a good deal for good tea. You might want something completely different.

Re: Ripe puerh advice
No opinion on the first two, as I haven't tried them. 7262 is a decent recipe, and 2007 was an ok year. V93 is ok, too. 7262 is a darker fermentation than V93, IIRC, so that might affect your choice.bagua7 wrote:Which of the following would you purchase?

Thanks for chiming in.
shah82, I like shu sweet and with an earthy-woody aroma and taste (and creamy if there is anything like that). I am not an expert in shu since I just started exploring this area as I am taking a break from young sheng.
About the Douji recommendations, which of the following would be your first choice:
2010 Douji "Phoenix Tour"
2010 Douji "Peace World"
2009 Douji "Peace World"
About areas, leaves, tips and such...honestly no idea. Sorry I am just a newbie
as I said and I want enjoy my shu on nearly a daily basis.
I'll check out the rest of the links.

Re: Ripe puerh advice
The hard thing about recommendations that are so specific is that there are so many different puerhs--region, producer/brand, recipes. I can unhesitatingly recommend a tea I've enjoyed, but am not experienced enough to say whether related but not quite the same teas are likely to be equally good. When you get outside of the large brands and famous recipes and a handful of well-known boutique producers, it's tricky to find enough people who have tried enough of a group of teas to make solid recommendations.
