It's another new TeaDay ... I am looking forward to hearing what everyone is drinking today. Hopefully you will stop in often and share with us what is in your cup throughout the day.

Yesterday we discussed 'Did you ever think that some vendors are chasing customers away with bad product and/or service?' You can still post and discuss this topic.

Today, I would like to know what is the country of origin of your first tea of the day? And as a bonus, is this your usual first tea Country choice or do you just start with whatever 'floats your boat' at the moment?

Bottoms up and fill your cups often with tea throughout the day.

My first tea of the day was some 1992 Xiaguan Shupu. Lovely stuff! I generally have Chinese tea first thing when I am in the office, but on the weekends, my first tea of the day is usually matcha or sencha. Right now I am drinking some 90's Shuixian.

Gao cong shui xian from JTS is my breakfast tea this morning. Rock tea is my usual morning tea.

BTW, Hou de's 2010 spring shui xian are back in stock. I'm a little low on good daily teas so I picked up a few.

Most days start Japanese and turn Chinese around lunch-time. Today it started with Tsuen Aoi and Zencha's Ultimate Sencha, and now I'm enjoying my Chinese friend's hand-picked garden tea.

In an odd move for me my first tea of the day is from Taiwan. It is especially surprising as I have only one tea from Taiwan on hand. But I have been using it to make iced tea and I woke up this morning with a glass of iced tea, which happened to be cold brewed Dong Ding.

The first tea of the day is almost always matcha, which is almost always from Japan (though I have had Korean malcha before), but today I tried a little bit of the iced chai in the fridge first. On mornings after I leave the leaves from the night before in the fridge to cold brew, I usually have that as soon as I wake up, but there's no ceremony to it.

So today I had an iced masala chai, sakuraka matcha, some iced Darjeeling with a bit of lemon juice, hot chai at an Indian restaurant, an iced black tea latte, a mix of lemongrass and berry tisanes, and Miyazaki baisen oolong.
I truly had an excellent and delicious TeaDay.

I don't have a usual, just whatever is open and appealing to me at the moment.

Been surrounded by people sick children and adults for the past two weeks. Is it a coincidence that I keep reaching for the darjeeling? I do feel that these teas have a rather high efficacy in fighting infection. Esp the ones with bite.

Sencha started the TD! Virtually every day begins with a sencha. In fact, I would have to be completely out of sencha to begin the day with something else.

So, began the TD with a prelim tasting of shincha Aoi asamushi from O-Cha with the Mrs. Served up in Hagi SO 15 Sendai.

Most days, if I start the day with tea, it's with sencha. Today was Zairai sencha from Norbu, a very lovely session. I am eagerly anticipating some new senchas (& shincha!) from O-Cha and a fresh supply of some of my favorites from Yuuki-Cha, but this session was so good that I am not minding the wait too much.

If I start the day with a different beverage, the first tea could be almost anything.
