If its going to be a tea party there is going to be a lot of tea being brewed for many people at once. For that to happen we need larger teapots. So I would bring one or both of my Monster Kyusu's which easily hold 14+ oz of Japanese greens when brewed at capacity.

I'll take some tea, and my own tea bowl.
I would also take some tea food if I've well prepared.
Tiramisu

Tiramisu

wow that's a gorgeous tiramisu there ...
I love pairing good chocolate with tea. For today, I'd go with a Kamimura Sencha I've been drinking lately and bring some gorgeous dark chocolate truffles with crumbled cocoa nibs to go with the rich full sencha and share with everybody
(Hi Chip! long time no see...)

To keep everone buzzed and fed ... I will bring some TeaFood, maybe MatchaRice, yum.
Some sencha and gyokuro selections, some nice wares. Definitely some of our TeawareArtisan pieces and Hagi!
Began the TD with a sencha tasting with the Mrs. in all new Petr ala carte set that is really beautiful, this was from the TA SO and it just arrived from the Czech Republic yesterday.

I will bring a teapot matched to the tea I select to brew, and a couple of cups; bring a few extra teas and a gaiwan just in case we already have 20 oolongs and not enough puerh; and mostly some tea-free treats to eat with the tea. Whether the tea treats will be homemade tarts or cookies or cakes will depend on what I'm craving at the time, and what everyone else is bringing. Since artmom has the shortbread covered, I'll cross that off the list. Would you prefer butter cookies? Savory flatbreads? Fruit tarts? Currant scones? Dried fruit and nut platter?
So far today, just sencha and cereal--but sencha in the new kyusu,

and new guinomi

so it was already a treat!

Woah, gorgeous tea-rmisu... okay, couldn't resist.
For a TeaPartay, I would bring a nice aged pu'erh to share, and I think I would try to make tea hardboiled eggs... they always looked very interesting, but never had a chance to try making them.
Today, I got to finish off ChinesePottery's homemade green tea (awesome!) and went another 5 or 6 rounds with a pu'erh that I've been visiting with for the last 4 days.

Ooh, tea parties! My friends and I have these every month during the school year... Those of them lucky enough not to live in dorms (therefore, they have kitchens) always end up making cool stuff.
I'd bring special tea (probably gyokuro, pu-erh, and hibiscus tisane); special treats (I apparently make really good baked apples and butter cookies); and probably some tea-related dessert or another (maybe some tea ice cream).
Today wasn't much of a party day here as far as tea... Just had some chrysanthemum pu-erh this morning and am currently waiting on some lavender sencha to cool off a bit.

TD continued with a Long Jing from a TCer. Excellent end to a great TD. If I had enough, I would bring it to the partay!
