We in Malaysia as per what people claimed have a good natural climate for Pu storage. No need any special monitoring system.
He has even got a catalog to show what he has.
Some of the samples. He has about 300+ different types

Ah! I think I know this ID, if it's the same person. I read quite a few his online forum posts before. I could tell he had a lot of tea, but didn't realize he had this much!

He is just a collector, not a seller?

The guy you mentioned is not the guy that own the PU. He took the photos at the collector's place and upload. They are both friendly ppl. Met them few times in teashops.
At the moment the collector is collecting, not selling yet. He is a wealthy guy keeping this for the future. If you see the guy in person, you would never believe his wealth. Very humble and soft spoken. Doesn't wear expensive, drives a lorry around.

Wow, now that's buying in bulk!
Does he store all of that tea in his place? Or does he have to rent out warehouse space for it?

Helps me to understand when I'm reading a story and there's a warehouse fire and everybody is freaking out. From now on, I'll just be thinking, "Everybody's tea might be in there...!!"

bugs too! what if the bugs get them! I imagine it would be hard to inspect all those boxes periodically, but I guess you could just hire a few people to do that

I can imagine Chan Kam Pong being nervous that the fluorescent light is too close to the pu on the top shelf.

Agree. That's really too close.
Obviously, I would not let those bowl tea expose to the fluorescent light in that way. At least, these bowl tea should be put in another cardboard box with some holes for aging. That is good enough.
Keeping Puerh in a dark environment is actually one of the keys to age.

I like the name 3-ton-guy. Let's see when he gains more weight
I guess the light is only very rarely on when somebody is in the room handling things. But the room does seem quite bright for a tea storage room. Or maybe your friend's camera is too good at light balance?

I was thinking the same thing...
Can you imagine? "Did you hear? the 3-tons guy is now 4-tons." "OMG!"
I'm sure with the light off, the tea is fine. Of course, with that much tea, I would probably be looking at it so much that the light would
not be fine, hehe...
