Hi fellow forum members,
I am a newbie, living in Beijing and spend time in Maliandao Tea street browsing and buying pr-erh teas .
One of the advantages is that I have the opportunity to taste before purchasing the products.
In many of the older pu-erh teas on sale, I have come across many description tickets with English spelling errors. I have seen in Clouds pu-erh web site with a spelling error in one of the description tickets.
At one of the shops, the seller tells me it is a 15 year old China tea bing, the tea is a good drink. Would you hesitate to purchase it when the mistake is so glaring (by-prctucts)?
Best regards.

Re: Spelling errors in Description tickets
It is quite common that older CNNP has spelling mistakes or special markings. That is one of the ways people identify the Pu.
Whether or not by purpose, or ignorance... i have no idea.

it would be better if you can also post pictures of the tea cake and inner ticket and also the ticket pressed together with the cake

Re: Spelling errors in Description tickets
Thanks all for the feedback.
Whilst it is an advantage to taste and see the product before buying , I have to be mindful of the many fakes, thus I try to weed out the shops that charges me an arm or a leg, and other sellers that offer fakes or poor quality teas . I still shop with caution.
Here is the inner ticket. The seller is kind enough to offer me some loose sample from the cake and for me to take this photo, I bought some clean loose pu erh from him 2 weeks ago.

Re: Spelling errors in Description tickets
I have a number of small-factory, mid 00's beeng that I have opened, and most, if not all, of the nei piao have pretty epic Engrish. The big factory stuff is a bit better, but far from perfect. I'd almost be worried if I unwrapped a cake, and found a ticket that made sense and had good spelling (unless it came from a westerner, like Scott or Nada).
