Looking for a Yixing Pot for One
I'm looking for small yixing pot, for just one person, which I plan to use for an oolong; however, I am not extremely experienced with teaware, and can't easily differentiate good quality from bad quality. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

As for oolong, zhu ni pot with about 100 ml is a perfect choice.

I would suggest PMing finddream if you are considering their yixing versus discussing particulars here.Bob_McBob wrote:Do you sell any teapots that are that size, finddream2020?

In my opinion, a pot for one could be many different sizes depending on your drinking habits and what type of oolong you plan on brewing.
I highly recommend this pot. The pots are slip cast, but it's hard to find decently made pots in this small size, and I am truly impressed with the quality of the clay (for the price). Back when they were still $10 instead of $18 I bought three of them. Still a good deal at $18 though.

Re: Looking for a Yixing Pot for One
It depends on what kind of oolong you are planning on using the pot for.
If your oolong is more oxidized, i.e. darker, the liquor more of an orange/amber color, then I suggest that you don't go for the zhu ni. Instead, go for a lower fired one.
If it is less oxidized, i.e. lighter/greener, the liquor more yellow, then zhu ni would work great.
Since it is going to be for one person, I suggest looking at the xiao pin pots that jing tea shop has for sale online.

Ah, yes, sorry. I forgot. I think I was remembering that zhu ni is fired for a long time, and mixed that up with firing temperature.

To be safe, I would also suggest buying one thin-walled and high-fired zhuni pot that you can use for all your oolongs.
