Zibo teapot from Adagio

by grwcm » Sep 19th, '11, 20:23

Hi, folks.
I was looking at the Zibo Yixing teapot from Adagio's webpage and I like the shape and the size (10 oz.). But I only saw 2 reviews on the webpage. Do any of you have any experience with this teapot? Any ideas about it? I'd appreciate your opinion before I jump for it.
Thanks,

I had the impression that either by custom or some sort of local regulation, genuine zisha clay was limited to use by Yixing potters. (Zibo, of course, is far to the north in Shandong Province.) I seem to recall people saying that if a pot's made elsewhere, it's not made of Yixing clay.

Is this understanding correct?

PM sent. Not real Yixing. You can do much, much better.
