I play a lot when I make herbal teas, especially when I'm going to drink them chilled in the summertime. I'm always curious for new combinations of herbs/spices, and have a pretty decent pantry for coming up with new combinations.
Today, from a friend's description of a tea she's just made, I was inspired to combine some lemon myrtle rooibos tea (the lemon part was fading, it had been in the cupboard for a long time) with hibiscus and peppermint. Lovely tart spicey summer drink for a hot day.
What's your latest thing?

A really nice mix I've found is yerba mate and mint. It makes a delicious summer iced tea if you mix a little sweetener in

My favorite tea for the summer is chrysanthemum. It is very popular here in Hong Kong and believed to be cooling. It is also really very tasty! I started off the day drinking some Taiwanese chrysanthemum with burdock root, licorice and a few other ingredients that I picked up yesterday.

+1 for Jayinhk, when i don't drink tea i use a mix of xueshan Chrysanthemum flowers and goji berries from Ningxia. These flowers are very small but very dense. Same as altitude teas.
The two fits pretty well together.
After the second or third infusion, you can also eat goji berries which are very tasty.
For 33cl, i'd say i use about 10 berries and flowers.
Sometimes i also use dried jujubes for infusions.

I like the idea of using goji berries in chrysanthemum tea! Will have to give that a try sometime. Jujubes sound good too.

I saw also though i never tried Dian Hong Cha and goji berries together.
It's like eating nuts while drinking Pu Er, never tried but i can totally imagine it'd fit well.

Sounds worth a shot.
I'm in the right place for that kind of experiment too: dried herb and tea shops all around me! Still figuring out what kinds of teas I like best first--going to take a while!

Re: What herbal tea are you drinking today?
Sure, me too. I'm not really into mixing herbs with teas. I tried once traditional jasmin tea in Yangshuo which is also a mix but really didn't like it.
I usually drink herbal teas (without tea) not to drink too much tea. I heard low grade Pu Er contains a lot of fluor which isn't good in huge quantity. So it's better not to drink a lot of only one kind of tea but to vary instead.

Just went to Starbucks and tried Tazo's Vanilla Rooibos.

A few days ago, when my sore throat was at its height, I made a really nice herbal tea combination that was so pretty I had to photograph it:

It was as tasty as it looked, made with Meyer lemon, honey, rose hips, chamomile, and linden. Mmmm....

I regularly drink marigold, saffron, and lavender. Today I had marigold
Saffron tea tastes quite bold, so sometimes I mix in fennel seeds or cardamom.
