I'm looking at getting a Kyusu that has the Sasame style filter and have found these two that seem almost identical, except the Rishi one looks like it is 9oz as opposed to the Dens one being 6oz:
Kikumaru Tokoname Teapot

Premium Sencha Teapot

I want one that is glazed so I can use it for sencha, gyokuro, fukamushi, and other Japanese green teas. I can't tell from the photos or descriptions whether either of these are glazed or not. Does anyone own or have any experience with either one of these, or know any more about them?
Thanks!
Re: Torn between these two Kyusus
The den's tea is glazed. But it's like a matte finish from what Chip mentioned in another thred.

Oh, and I'll receive mine tomorrow or Monday... We'll see if it's glazed or not.

Re: Torn between these two Kyusus
I think the Den's has a "slip" applied. Not really a glaze per se?
Both are very nice light colored kyusu. I tend to reach for the Kikumaro more often. But each time I do use the Den's, I really like its feel.
So it comes down to size.

Re: Torn between these two Kyusus
I've had the Den's kyusu, and had no trouble brewing any type of tea in it. I didn't really like the decoration--would have preferred plainer--and so it was replaced not because of any problem in use but because I eventually found a couple that were aesthetically more pleasing. It eventually was given away because it was too useful a pot to sit around as a 'spare' for very occasional use.

Sweet, yeah tinols, when you get yours you should post some pictures!
Thanks Chip and debunix for your responses. I think I may just go with Den's one because of the size, I've been decreasing the amount of tea I've been using per session.
