Only 40 something countries to go, and you will have all of Britain's former colonies in this thinly veiled anglo-saxon empire revivalist puer club of yours.
No, but seriously, very cool initiative, and with shipping included the price is very good.

Thanks! I really would love include every country. I am considering trails for other countries on a case by case basis, the shipping might be slightly slower, but I'd love to include more people

The 2007 Repave cakes are back! And tongs are on sale for the old price until November 23rd. Still meditating on a Black Friday sale idea

I see the 2012 Liubao Number 5 is out of stock, which must have happened pretty recently. Any plans of carrying more (fermented) Liubao in the future? I had a few samples of this, and found it a very pleasant tea with an extremely pleasant price tag.

Yes, a few people recently picked up several kilograms each.Balthazar wrote:I see the 2012 Liubao Number 5 is out of stock, which must have happened pretty recently. I am doubtful I will because I haven't found something I liked as much. Unfortunately that entire batch is sold out - such is the problem with small batches. I just sampled a few of their recent numbered batches and nothing was as good (or really even near) to the #5. In retrospect, I should have bought a very large amount of the #5, but I assumed that they would be more consistent with the quality. (and I thought they had more!)
Re: White 2 Tea Co. - Fine Puer Teas
Ah, that's a shame. Not too many (internationally focused) vendors carrying Liu bao, it seems (Chawangshop being an honorable exception). Keep us posted if you come across something in the future, the #5 was indeed very good stuff.

I see that TwoDog has come though again with another Black Friday sale:

He lists gifts for those who order over $1000 worth of tea.

If you spend $2000, you get double the gifts, right?sherubtse wrote:I see that TwoDog has come though again with another Black Friday sale:

$1000 isn't too tough these days - a teapot and a stack of aged cakes and you are there!PurplePotato wrote:If you spend $2000, you get double the gifts, right?sherubtse wrote:I see that TwoDog has come though again with another Black Friday sale:

And sure, for $2000 orders I'll double up gifts and try to add more. I wouldn't want anyone to feel disappointed with such a nice order arriving.

It shows how much of a puer newbie I am to think that $1000 is alot of money when it comes to pu purchases!TwoDog2 wrote:$1000 isn't too tough these days - a teapot and a stack of aged cakes and you are there!PurplePotato wrote:If you spend $2000, you get double the gifts, right?sherubtse wrote:I see that TwoDog has come though again with another Black Friday sale:

Still, for me $1000 is a heck of a lot of money to spend on tea.

Re: White 2 Tea Co. - Fine Puer Teas
A tong of, say, the 1990’s Hong Kong Style no-wrapper tea will take you over the $1000 limit, and as we all know $150 a cake is far from unheard of these days... A lot of people seem to agree that you need to pay that sort of money (or close to it) for a decent cake these days, and that whenever you come across something you really like you ought to buy tongs of it... So while I've never made an order that large (and probably never will) myself, there's really nothing insane about it. It comes across as a huge sum, but I'm willing to bet several people on here spend something close to that every 6 months - 1 year, just spread over several orders
