Hello everyone, I'm new to Yixing teapots, I just bought one a couple of days ago during a trip to Seattle. After reading several posts here about knock off Yixing teapots it made me wonder if mine was indeed authentic. I honestly have no reason to suspect it isn't authentic, but I'm slightly paranoid. Especially since it's probably the most expensive teapot I've purchased.

A side view of it.

View from the top.

View from the top with the lid off.

A bad picture of the stamp on the bottom. The camera wouldn't cooperate.
I purchased it from The Perennial Tea Room, which seems legit, but who knows. If anyone could help out that would be nice. Thanks a lot.

I've never really gotten into Yixing pots, so I couldn't answer your question, but I just wanted to say that it's really pretty.

I came in from the wilderness, a creature void of form.

I don't know enough to say if it's real or imitation, but there is nothing wrong with imitation yixing.
Super elite tea facist....
