why has all my loose leaf tea started to taste funny?

All of the tea that I've ordered from Adagio has developed an odd, almost metallic after taste. I thought that maybe it was the metal strainer that I was using, but I swtiched to a new strainer and the problem remains. I've actually switched back to drinking bag tea now.
I wonder if this has happened to anyone, and if there's anything I can do to fix it. Maybe I'm preparing the tea wrong somehow?

Could be your water is high in iron, or maybe it's the kettle you use to boil the water.

How old are they? Have you checked your kettle for rust? Moisture in the tins? Water can do all sorts of funny things also. Too many things to check, you need to get some sort of controll. If you prepare the loose tea and the bagged tea the same, do they both taste funny or just the loose leaf?
