Most pieces did not sell. I wonder if worries of fakes have stopped purchases?

Re: China guardian YIxing auction
I've noticed a big fall off of Chinese buyers coming in the last month or so.
Re: China guardian YIxing auction
No worries. Many Chinese riches don't understand old teapots..
Mainlanders tend to go for masters' teapots whilst Taiwanese and HKers like old teapots, I noticed the preferences or values they measure, are different. Mainlanders don't understand or they would think they are ugly (old teapot)..old teapots aren't masterfully skilled like recent master teapots..communism also might have affected..there are many reasons.
Notice Yixing goverment and Yixing Teapot Association don't advertise old Yixings..it won't give them money...old teapots are scattered outside China.
If you talk about authenticity, China Guardian is one of major auctions..if you can't get genuine teapots there, it's like you won't able to find anywhere else.

Very true. They most source rare and never use master pieces.chrl42 wrote:No worries. Many Chinese riches don't understand old teapots..
