currently had taken an interest in ultra flat yixing pots. wouldnt mind old shan-tou material as well. no particular preference for clay type as long as you have a picture of it to decide. any factory 1-5/or outside factory, any maker is fine as well.
at the moment have a couple of pieces but still actively sourcing for reasonably priced pieces in the region/taiwan.
so if you guys have any that you don't like, find it too small/too flat, do drop me a message. trades are also welcome

Maybe you can post a photo of the type you are looking for to narrow it down.

hmm.. in the likes of
anything flatter is even better, ridiculously flat is the best. i'm currently investigating the effects on the height of the "cha-dan"/tea gall on gongfu cha brewing.
tall pots are abundant and easy to come by, flat ones were nowhere mainstream

I've never seen a yixing
this flat, but this one and some similar predecessors have long tempted me for taking flatness to the ultimate....

That could take the prize for flatness.

there are!

but just that they dont surface that often.
could have bought a few shibirodashi types of pots but still going for yixing due to the tapering of the sides and top/bottom symmetry which is integral for "locking" in the position of the tea clump

thanks! too big though.. imagine the.. amount of leaves needed for gongfu cha!
price is not too unreasonable for the size/material (although looks raw)
have sent a pm to a couple of potters already.

I think he's away until the 14th, so it might be a couple more days.
