Looking for a teapot

I'm looking for a yixing pot to use for my wuyi yanchas. I ordered a pot from Yunnan Sourcing, but evidently it's not in stock so I guess I have to start my search again.
I need something around 80-100 ml in an appropriate shape and clay (I'm in love with lu ni and duan ni but I'm not too picky) and I'm willing to spend up to $150 (preferably less) for a good pot to use for a long time.
Anyone know where I can find one? Everyone always recommends Origin Tea but they don't have many pots left

I was maybe thinking this early 90's qing shui ni from Origin Tea but I wasn't sure... thoughts?

There also appear to be several pots at The Chinese Tea Shop within my price range. Is this a reputable seller? And which pot would get the most bang for my buck?

I have 2 pots from Origin and they are always fantastic. Send them an email about the pot! They usually have pairing recommendations in the description and they're usually good guidelines so, from someone who isn't all that knowledgable on clay type and tea matching, but has never been steered wrong by Tony at Origin, it's a good choice to at least ask him about it

are you brewing for 1 person or? and will you be just doing multiple steeps or will you be using chaozhou gongfu techniques?

Theoretically I'd be brewing only for myself (and occasionally another person) so I would prefer 80-100 ml, but of course that's so hard to find...

hmm. if your brewing style is closer to chaozhou gongfu then you might want to consider something that pours/dispenses fast, i.e. xishi shape, pigeon/duck beaked (gezui) shuiping

possible choice, the clay looks reasonably decent, in the 90s such pots are a little thicker walled, the clay is a bit more "raw" as well


if you can find one at origin where the spout is fat with quick elution, then you're good to go! since you mentioned that you would want to use the pot for a long time, you should spend some time and choose carefully

Thanks for the help! I like the look of shuipings a lot more than fanggus anyway. I emailed Origin to see if they have any with bigger spouts that haven't been listed yet, but I might just go for this one. I like my da hong pao strong anyway

while i'm quite happy with the way it brews tea, it does pour slowly due to a rather poorly crafted spout. it's not a big issue for me, but definitely something to beware.
