I purchaes a little testubin pot for my black teas and am not sure how much tea to add or how long to steep the tea.

Well I think first determine how many ounces of water it holds!
I've found tetsubins work pretty good with oolongs and greens believe-it-or-not, the cast iron absorbes much of the heat and by leaving the cover off the pot it never really seems to cook the leaves, obviously some tweaking is required for differant teas tho (as with every method of steeping). The black teas I've made in a tetsubin tend to come out alittle weak, so I usualy add some extra leaves and steep slightly longer for that.
