Zhuni Clay Teapot - Accidentally Stained!

by Confuciuz » Oct 30th, '14, 20:45

Hello,

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove black shoe polish stain from a zhuni clay teapot?

A little shoe polish got on my fingers and I did not notice it until I saw the stain on my zhuni clay teapot.

I tried soaking it in warm water but that didn't help much...

Any suggestions?

Many thanks!
John

Welcome to the forum. You weren't trying to fake a patina were you? (kidding)

Try rubbing with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser that has been dipped in hot water.

I used the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser as suggested and it worked!

Thanks for your help. Greatly appreciate it.
