Hi guys,
I would like to ask you about my aged 2001 Menghai pu erh, price was about 25 bucks for 357g cake. im not sure if it is ok to have these "things" in brewed tea. You can check it on photo in attachment.
Many thanks
Lepo
Re: DUST??? in Pu Erh Ripe 2001
And did you rinse it?
I for example rinse most Pu-Erh least twice. That doesn't mean throw away an infusion. Just seperate the leaves as much as possible without pulverizing them
and then water in, water out. This will take away many "bonus items" and will not exhaust the tea.
Its also an elegant version do to a cold rinse and then a hot one. I'd always do that with Shu and matured Sheng, and you know, if a tea costs 25$, I usually will rinse once more

Yeah, it's just tea particles. Not gonna hurt you. I mostly drink larger leaf tea so I don't have much of a need for a strainer. But recently been trying samples of puerh and definitely use the strainer every time. Not sure how fine the paper filter is...I use a $2 metal strainer (below) and don't have any bits in the tea.
