Question regarding fluoride content.
So about a year ago I made the switch from coffee to green tea and immediately fell in love. I drink 1 cup of mid grade matcha and roughly 6 bags of Kirkland Sencha mix(Ito En) daily. It's recently come to my attention that I may be drinking too much and putting myself at risk of developing fluorosis later in life. I tried to enquire with Ito En on the fluoride content of their bagged green tea and they refused to answer. In fact, they almost seemed offended that I would ask such a question. I live in Montreal, so there is no fluoride in our drinking water, but I'm still quite worried. So my question is simple, am I in fact drinking too much? Should I be worried? I really love the stuff.

Occasionally well meaning friends send me this article:

The important thing to note is that this woman drank a pitcher of tea made from 100 tea bags every day for 17 years. You're not coming anywhere near that concentration so I wouldn't be worried.

I'd be more worried about your caffeine load before fluoride issues anyway...
Re: Question regarding fluoride content.
Thank you for the responses. According to ito En there is only 8 - 12mg of Caffeine per bag, so I figure my caffeine intake is actually quite reasonable. Somewhere around 150mg daily.

There is one Dr. Joseph Mercola, who for years was trying to scare the bejeezus out of everyone about fluoride poisoning from green tea. Then one day a few years back he took all of those scary web pages down and guess what he did soon after that? He started selling matcha!
