Yesterday was a Hojo-God Asa Sencha day. It came as a sample kindly sent with an order from Akira.

It was very good, was a bit more depth and complexity. The leaf seemed a bit more yellow than most.

These two sencha are wonderful!

Aoi from O-Cha filled our cups this morning. Always a favorite.

I started the day with a matcha and enjoyed some bancha with my salmon teriyaki dinner.

Unfortunately I didn't have time for tea at work today.

I continued with my pu'erh at work.

Tomorrow is looking to be a work day at home, due to a snow storm rolling through the area. If so, that will mean a tea-filled day to be sure....!

Budget teabags at work, tea and white water, for some reason they only get green top trim milk for the break room fridge... It's not milk unless it's blue top, even light blue doesn't cut it!

Anyhow, nameless black tea at work, bi lo chun brewing now I'm home.

Today was oolong wrapped around sheng: another rush-brewed SeaDyke TKY, so lovely that it stands up to that; then a sheng puerh from Yunnan Sourcing that went well among the office tea set; then more of the 'green' dancong from YS.

Tomorrow I foresee a sencha start to the day.

Yesterday was a Japanese green again Matsu no Midori from Maiko this time. I've ordered it twice in a row and it's a great tasting matcha with that addicting umami-sweetness

First tea of our snowy day, still snowing, over 10inches, was Sae Midori from the O-Cha. Chip is getting ready to brew our 2nd session.

Hmm ... what type will it be?

Still working on a morning session with Asatsuyu organic sencha from O-Cha. This is an extended session shared up and down the office hallway--everyone was quite interested in this 'tea of a different color' today. I rarely share greens and especially sencha, because they're harder to get right for large-scale brewing and sharing. But it's so nice to do it as a change of pace.

Ahhhh, such a lovely snow storm, and even more lovely to be spending the day at home and enjoying tea while working.

I started the day with some gyokuro and then transitioned to some of EoT's 2010 Ban Pen. I might be able to squeak another entry in before calling it a day, but we shall see.

Meanwhile, I am doing my best to spread the gospel of tea....!

After a inexplicably disappointing yancha session yesterday I decided to stick with Japanese greens today. I'm testing a new pot from Andrzej Bero via his Etsy shop. Its brown stoneware unglazed inside and outside. I tried it with O-Cha Uji Gyokuro Tsurugirushi and while that was fine the pot is 100 ml so I usually use a smaller pot for Gyokuro when I'm drinking it alone. Next up O-Cha Uji Karigane Gyokuro Asa-Giri which brews up wonderfully in this pot and is much more affordable than straight Gyo.
