New York ISC Service Center

by AllanK » Mar 17th, '15, 23:04

I have several China packages that have been in limbo for some time. They may be stuck in the ISC postal center. Does anyone have the phone number for the New York ISC at JFK International Airport?

Most likely due to bad weather in February, there are about 20,000 packages from Japan and who knows how many from China stuck backlogged in JFK. Japan State Department has been in touch with US State Dept. Meanwhile anxiety attacks have affected hundreds suffering from TAD.

I have one nice Kuro Chawan floating somewhere in the ether...

My tea package is coming express and it is 17 days out. It stayed in China longer than normal. Finally got through US customs today. Definitely taking longer....it will probably get here on the 20th.

*Not in New York however. :P

I'm in the same boat on a package that was sent at the end of January. I was going to give it another week, but to be honest, I'm not sure there's much point in calling if that's the size of the backlog. It'll clear eventually...... eventually. :D

News from my seller:
Again, I m sorry very much for your inconvenience. As I explained in my last message, your packet has been held at JFK airport for more than one month. But finally USPS airport office started handling it on March 17. According to Japan Post, the operation of USPS at the airport was the problem. After many packets were accumulated in the warehouses of the airport, due to the influence of heavy snow and tighter security, they picked up newer packets around the front of warehouses earlier, it s easier. As a result, older packets around the back side of warehouses have been held for a long time until packets in the warehouses were decreased. Again, I m sorry very much for your inconvenience, and please wait for your packet for a little more time.
