Assistant-Craftsman yixing teapot - anywhere online?

by tthouse » Mar 18th, '15, 10:42

Hello all.
I have been through hundreds of posts regarding where to buy yixing teapots. I had the pleasure of receiving a teapot from a tea connoisseur that was from an Assistant-craftsman and was delighted with the quality. My question: Where online can i find a list of yixing teapots with the artists name and ranking? I have searched and searched, and found zisha.com but finding it impossible to communicate with their staff. Any advice? I am looking for a De Zhong, 350 + ml. Any advice?

Official Nationally Ranked Yixing Artist Database

There are thousands of artists with that rank though.

Thanks. Was hoping to find a website to buy a yixing teapot that mentions the rank of the artist. Or, if not, then a site that has some good quality yixing teapots medium range, say 300 USD. I find that is the rant of assistant artist teapots from my exhausting attempts to use google translate on chinese websites.

Not easy. EoT teapots are quite good IMO. On Taobao you might be able to find better deals but you need to be able to distinguish the good pots in a sea of mediocre/bad pots. The price does not help to tell them apart: you can find terrible pots in all price ranges.
