Ahh I just ordered my first one to from O-Cha: "Aio" I decided to buy some despite some hang ups but im sure it will be delicious. Two brewing questions:

1) If my Kyusu is 9 oz and I only fill with 5 oz of water (accounting for a change in leaf amount) am I damaging the brew in any way?

2)For preheating is there a certain temperature I shouldn't go up to? As in, is 212 fahrenheit too hot to preheat the kyusu and cups?

I only saw O-Cha with shincha sae-midori. You sure about this?

I might wait for other shincha to come out and order them together with the sae-midori

A lot of their Shincha sold out. When I ordered mine there were a number of choices. When I went back to check on my order I noticed a lot of the choices removed.

The shincha was not sold out, we just quit offering it on a pre-order basis because the shincha started coming in. Henceforth, our teas will become available in shincha form as soon they actually arrive in our facility.

I just saw on O-Cha's Facebook page that they are starting to ship the shincha. I can't wait, I never had it before.

I got an email from O-Cha yesterday that my shincha has been shipped.

I'm excited, I never had shincha before.

Whatchya gettin'?
I have just two from O-Cha on hand. Tsuen's Kirameki and Ureshino Tamaryokucha. I'm enjoying the both of them.

I had considered both of those and actually somehow neglected to add the guricha ... might need to reorder.

So far ...

O-Cha - Sae Midori, Aoi, and had to give the Yutaka Midori a shot. I added the Uji teabags, but don't think they were shincha.

Maiko - Kinari and the shincha teabags

And not sure why, but impulsively Hibiki-An Traditional and Fukamushi. I have not ordered from Hibiki-An since a somewhat lackluster order ... quite a while ago.

... not done yet, but I highly doubt I will hit my annual 20 shincha goal since this year I seem to be ordering larger quantities of historically personal proven performers.

Ureshino Tamaryokucha tried that from O-cha. Really like it. Been brewing around 63c and its got that nice thick mouth feel. I got a michelin star chef over the road from me and I keep taking any tea over with a strong unami flavour. Always has him in tears of joy. Nice being able to share tea with some one that truly appreciates it.

That is awesome, Alex!

Ordered Friday, o-cha order arrived in Philly before 8 am this morning. Could see it today.

Hibiki-An is moving slowly, but maybe Wednesday.

No notification from Maiko yet, but this is not unusual for them ...
