From the people at Yunnan Sourcing- Taiwan Sourcing!
Thanks for the heads up. I tried to find their site a few weeks ago but it wasn't open yet.
Re: From the people at Yunnan Sourcing- Taiwan Sourcing!
Please do write reviews once you have tried some of the teas. I'm eager to hear about people's impressions. I like YS a lot. Taiwan Sourcing seems ... a bit more high-end? Although it's by no means pricey for Taiwanese teas.
I'm not a huge fan of claims such as "This particular tea was carefully processed by some of the most experienced tea masters in Taiwan," though. Also not loving the three fictional "reviews" featured for each tea. I'd prefer them being either strictly informational texts or real user reviews.
In any case, I'm excited to read about (and eventually taste) the teas on offer. If they extend the very nice global shipping rate one month I'll probably put in an order. But I'd like to see some feedback from others first..
Edit: Oh, the three review avatars actually represent each of the three people behind the site. Didn't catch that until I read the "Three Teamen" post.

I don't doubt it'll be good tea, but I'm gonna be in Taiwan several times this year! More sources for good tea is always a good thing though.

Are you sure it's a promotion? Looks to me like that is the standard shipping price.Balthazar wrote:If they extend the very nice global shipping rate one month I'll probably put in an order.
Re: From the people at Yunnan Sourcing- Taiwan Sourcing!
It says "May 2015 Launch ~ $8 FLAT RATE global shipping ~", and I assumed the two were connected. But now that you mention it, it doesn't seem to have been a promotion. If it's the standard shipping price (which seems to be the case) I'm definitely putting in an order there soon... Just waiting for a few reviews to appear

I need some spring gaoshan so I ordered a few. I wonder how long it takes to ship get to the US?

Probably two weeks.MIKE_B wrote:I need some spring gaoshan so I ordered a few. I wonder how long it takes to ship get to the US?

Mine took two weeks. Would have been less if the package didn't go through Chicago for customs....they are much slower than LA or San Fran. Mine hit customs on the 27th of May and is being delivered today.MIKE_B wrote:I need some spring gaoshan so I ordered a few. I wonder how long it takes to ship get to the US?

I made an order, but have only tried two of their teas so far and only twice.Bubba_tea wrote:Any reviews for tea received?
The organic Wu Yi is really nice. Resteeps well, and has a thickness that seems to become more noticeable in the mid to later steeps. It has wuyi flavor, but with clear Taiwanese influences. The flavors are natural, and harmonious.
The organic Yang Zai Wan Dong Ding is a powerful tea. Next time I make it I'm going to either try less leaf, or shorten my steeps. Flavors are natural, and harmonious. This one in particular has a ton of tea energy that is very noticeable.
I like both these teas, and am glad I ordered them. Though, I haven't tried them much so my conclusions might be a little premature.

I just ordered a few of the Spring 2015 teas, the imperial lala shan and long jing being a couple of the more interesting ones. We'll see how they are next month, once I get back from NYC and bring back even more tea.
