a bristle from my chasen broke today
j/w where does everyone get their chasen from? i've been using a 100-bristle one to make usucha but i ordered some ceremonial grade matcha recently so i'm looking for both a replacement 100-bristle for usucha as well as one for koicha, any recommendations would be great!

Depends. Do you want something cheap, because there's many sites that sell just that. If you're looking for a good one, however, it's probably best to buy one made in Japan.
I got my two chasen, a 100 pronged one (for usucha) and a 48 (for koicha), from o-cha, and there's others sites that sell similar--though o-cha was best deal I could find.
