Chao zhou pot for sale. My Sister in-law who lives in Hong Kong, brought these two teapots for me from her trip to China.

Just fyi, this isn't an Yixing pot but a Chaozhou pot.

Really!! A Chaozhou pot!! I alway thought Chao zhou pots were made of red clay like this one I have, which, I got a long time ago and hard to come by anymore. What are the characteristics that make a chao zhou pot (I would love to know)? I thought the samething, when my sister in-law bought this pot for me. Thanks I'll update my post.

CZ pots are made on a wheel and will usually show the concentric rings in the interior of the body and lid. Sometimes you can see them on the exterior. This should not be confused with lines formed by tool markings on Yixing pots. With some experience, you can usually tell pretty easily.
