Using a Teapot and Cup of Different Yixing Clays

I am curious if it is a bad idea to use a zini cup with a qing shui ni teapot (or any other Yixing clay combination for that matter)? My intuition tells me the cup has the potential to muddle the pots effect on tea, but I figured I would see what others felt.

Why don't use test the theory by pouring the tea into that particular cup as well as a porcelain cup from the same brew.
