This is my first Chinese tea pot i bought it from one of chinese tea shop called Purple cane , in Malaysia. Does anyone know what's the handle and the pouring edge made of ? , they seems like a add on.
After googling for hours , finally i saw one looking the same on the internet

it appears to be different colors of clay combined heterogeneously.
they did a good job of cleanly attaching it to the teapot.
are you saying you think it was attached after firing?

i'm actually had no idea at all in chinese tea equipment /making tea
, just started to learn through youtube and all the masters in this forum .....
Just to see whether anyone here had the same pot as mine , to know whether the colorful pouring edge is made of Zisha as well ? or jz a normal stone.

The Japanese call it nerigomi. It's a technique using two clays that are mixed together to create some unusual swirls. The Chinese also use this technique but I don't know the name for it. Here is an example by the famous Yixing master Gu Jingzhou.larry127 wrote:Hi there,
