Forums

For the past 2-4 years I've frequented a number of forums, on topics that I'm interested in. This includes tea (of course), as well as cycling, piano, hiking, photography, running and several others I'm forgetting about.

I don't want to say I'm leading a trend or anything  but I've noticed a decline of activity on pretty much all of these forums in the last 3-6 months. Funny enough, I find myself doing more things away from the computer...and the infrequent times I visit forums such as this one, I'm seeing less user activity than 1 or 2 years ago.

Personally, I think this is a very good thing! We've all seen how smart phones and computers in general have perhaps taken us away from other things (spending time with family/friends, learning new things, etc., etc.), so perhaps this is a start of a return to 'physical/mental' stimulations outside technology???

Enough rambling, off to do something else before I contradict my post!

Things have gotten slow, and mainly on the tea ware subforum things have died. Unfortunately the amount of jinxing posts haven't gone down though! :?

You should consider opening your own forum where you can limit discussion to kiusos and shoboridushis!

I think part of it is a consolidation of platforms, a lot of discussion about food / tea / etc. has moved from purpose-specific forums to things like Facebook groups.
