Hello,
As many are probably wondering, will this new format continue to see improvement?
There seem to be many serious issues which other will hopefully flesh out.
One I just noticed is the inability to see previous TC posts via Google. Always amazes me how many time TC was the source of information for a Google tea related search. A testament to the depth of knowledge and long-term commitment by so many TC members. Thank you all. Hopefully this revamp will make for an even better forum experience. (Thank you, Chip!)
-Are photos supported?
-Is there a way to see new recent post as before?
Thank you.

Re: Did you just kill Teachat?
actually it looks like url compatibility has been maintained, and google hasn't un-indexed teachat.
searching old posts on google works fine for me

Re: Did you just kill Teachat?
The primary goal of any forum like this should be to enable the user to access or convey exactly the information they want (within the rules and topic of the forum), no more, no less, as quickly and efficiently as possible. Nothing about this update furthers that goal.

Re: Did you just kill Teachat?
Please take note: Some of us who love & use Teachat are not computer-savvy & not on top of the tech-world..
I, for one, don't have an I-pad etc. Right now, I don't even have a simple cellphone.
I have never posted a photo because I don't know how to do that, print-out etc. I e-mail, & Teachat because it is easy. I don't know about apps; I never even learned about moving files, windows, etc.
For people in their senior years who may find themselves in hospital or for other reasons are away from the site, to come back & need to learn how to navigate…. not easy, perhaps more than that, too difficult.
Teachat is a remarkable kindness. Not overwhelmed w/ pop-ups, advertisements, etc. It has been a real service & is still striving to be. I suggest it be so for tealovers interested in tea, tea ware, etc. w/o it becoming a place that requires an equal love for mastering the computer world.
Please keep Teachat easy to use, simple to understand.

I will be moving this topic to TeaChat Announcements where I feel it will be more at home with related topics ...
Re: Did you just kill Teachat?
I think we've gotten our answer to the original question of this topic.

Re: Did you just kill Teachat?
Drax: I agree!
No statement from Adagio or something like that. They changed the forum for the worse and didn't even ask if we wanted a change. Then we criticize the changes and are left alone.
I just want the old forum back!

Re: Did you just kill Teachat?
Hi folks!
My name is Julie, and I came on-board at Adagio a couple of weeks ago to help out in managing our social media accounts and other digital properties.
I was recently given admin privileges for this board. Let me give you a little more behind-the-scenes information for transparency. We at Adagio Teas have heard your distress loud and clear, and we're working to address your issues. We sent this thread (http://www.teachat.com/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=21366) of complains to our developer, and I'm reviewing with him this week.
We appreciate your patience as we work out the kinks in TeaChat's transition. Thanks!

Hi Julie. Thank you for giving us some new information. Count me among those numerous members who are highly appreciative of the support to the tea community shown by Adagio over the years.vanderleaf wrote:Testing testing.
I echo the sentiment that this forum has and continues to amass an invaluable trove of information on this deep and complex topic.
