Tea storage and cork seals

Recently managed to get my hands on one of those Anping jars which Stéphane from Teamasters likes to use. They never have a lid.

Got me wondering what people’s thoughts were on sealing those with cork?
Short term storage should be ok in my opinion, but what about longer storage?
Maybe combined with wax sealing?

Quick research brought to light that cork seems not to be a 100% airtight.
Any other known shortcomings?

Any input is appreciated!

P.S. if anyone sees the new post anyway!
Not easy to know while the new layout is not optimized yet…

Cork changes. It dries & shrinks. Simply, don't use cork for this.

I have a question relative to tea storage relative to sheng puerh.
I recently bought some teajar, they are porous inside.
I'm wondering if i need to put every time the same tea inside ( "kind" of the same thing with teapot )

if it takes on smell, i wonder if you could just clean it out with boiling water
i am guessing the answer is yes but idk for sure

From what I have read and heard from others so far, glazed insides are preferable for tea storage.
Or wood-fired clay, the extended firing seal the surface in a similar way to glaze.

I just bought some tea caddies in Vietnam. I'm going to wrap the cork/lid with aluminum foil for a very tight seal!

I heard here that for pu-erh the jar need to be porous so the tea can breathe!?

I think the clay in itself does not necessarily need to be porous, but the lid is preferably not airtight.
Best way to storage seems to be paperwrapped. Of course always depending on other storage factors, like climate, airflow, temperature, etc.
