So as an avid drinker, I had been using a decent pot for a few years but last year I asked my mom to find me a nice pot. So when she was in Taiwan she and my uncle (who drinks tea) bought me two. My mom, as much as I love her, is a bit clueless.
I read and I read and it seems like this might not be the best pot for semi-rolled oolong. But that is what I use it for.
It pours, with tea inside, in about 8 seconds.
She paid 3000NTD for it.
So whatever you can tell me about this pot would be helpful.
The seller said that there isnt anymore mining done for the yixing clay and I read a post here that also says the same thing. Is it true? the seller claimed that is one is?
How old is the pot?
Who made it?
Honestly anything anyone can tell me would be much appreciated.

ps if there is specific photos needed i can definitely take it and depending on how well received this post goes, I will do that same with the second pot my mom got at the same store.

Shape-wise it should be fine for rolled oolongs. Can not say much about the clay, looks pretty standard. Weird lid shape though...
I think 3000 NT might have been a bit too much for that pot.

NT 3000 definitely too much. Clay looks decent, but better suited to darker oolongs than the green gaoshan style you like, IMO. I find zisha takes too much away from greener teas, but firing/wall thickness makes a difference too. I prefer hongni for anything greener and use zisha for high roast oolongs.
