Teapot Inquiry

by stevorama » Jan 1st, '17, 22:04

Curious if anyone recognizes age and origin of this teapot. Picked it up at a local shop without any background info. Has zhong guo yi xing stamp on bottom, no other stamps. About 110-115ml. 7 hole filter inside. Brews well. Thanks!

Looks like 70s / early 80s F1, but I'm no expert. Nice pot and the clay looks good!

If you are no expert, you'd better off not expressing potentially misleading opinions.

It is neither an 70s nor an 80s pot. This shape was not produced during that era.

Very likely it is a modern pot. The exact fabrication time is hard to determine, but it is certainly later than early 80s.

Cheers!

Thanks for opinions and expertise thus far. My guess is 90's from a factory such as Factory 2.

Originally I got it because I thought the clay looked good and price was appropriate.

Here's an interior view.
